How Much Does It Cost to Create a Solana Token?
Short answer: about 0.2 SOL all-in to mint, and around 0.4 SOL if you also revoke authorities and open a liquidity pool. Here is every line item before you use the Solana token creator.
Flat 0.18 SOL · No subscription · No cut of your supply · No fee on your token's trades
Minting: what you pay to get on-chain
Creating the token itself has two parts. The SolanaForge platform fee is a flat 0.18 SOL, charged inside the same transaction that mints your token. On top of that Solana itself charges rent to keep the mint and metadata accounts alive, plus a per-signature network fee — together typically 0.02–0.03 SOL.
That means a realistic all-in mint cost of roughly 0.20–0.21 SOL. Fund your wallet with 0.25 SOL and you will never hit an insufficient-balance failure mid-launch.
- Platform fee: 0.18 SOL flat, regardless of supply or decimals.
- Mint + metadata rent: ~0.02 SOL, paid to the Solana network, refundable only if accounts are closed.
- Network fee: a fraction of a cent per signature.
- IPFS pinning of your logo and JSON: included, no extra charge.
Optional costs most serious launches pay anyway
A token that nobody can buy and whose supply can still be inflated is hard to sell to anyone. Almost every launch that goes anywhere spends a little more on these.
- Revoke mint authority: 0.08 SOL — proves supply is fixed.
- Revoke freeze authority: 0.08 SOL — proves you cannot freeze holders.
- Create a Raydium pool: 0.1 SOL platform fee, plus the SOL and tokens you deposit as actual liquidity.
- Add, remove, or burn LP: 0.09 SOL per action.
The number that actually matters: your liquidity
Fees are noise next to the size of your first pool. A launch with 0.5 SOL of liquidity will move violently on tiny buys and looks untrustworthy on DexScreener; 5–20 SOL of paired liquidity gives a chart people are willing to trade. Decide that number before you mint, because it dwarfs every fee on this page.

Cost on the other chains
Prices differ per chain because network economics differ. Pick the chain where your buyers already are — a cheap launch in front of nobody is the expensive option.
Budget in four lines
Step 1. Fund with 0.25 SOL
Covers the 0.18 SOL platform fee, rent, and network fees with headroom.
Step 2. Mint the token
One signature. Platform fee and mint are atomic — if it fails, you are not charged.
Step 3. Budget 0.16 SOL for revokes
0.08 SOL each for mint and freeze authority. Optional, but expected by buyers.
Step 4. Budget 0.1 SOL + liquidity
Pool creation fee, plus however much SOL you intend to pair with your token.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to create a Solana token?
0.18 SOL as the SolanaForge platform fee plus roughly 0.02–0.03 SOL in mint rent and Solana network fees. Budget about 0.25 SOL to mint comfortably with change left over.
Are there hidden or recurring fees?
No. There is no subscription, no percentage of your supply, and no fee on trades of your token. Every charge is shown in the transaction you sign before you approve it.
What does revoking authorities cost?
0.08 SOL per revoke action on SolanaForge, covering mint authority and freeze authority. Both are optional but strongly recommended before you ask anyone to buy.
What does adding liquidity cost?
0.1 SOL to open a new Raydium CPMM pool and 0.09 SOL for later add, remove, or LP-burn actions — separate from the SOL you actually deposit into the pool as liquidity.
Is there a cheaper chain?
Solana is the cheapest of the three we support in absolute terms. A TON Jetton costs 4 TON and a BEP-20 costs 0.018 BNB plus BNB gas. Choose on audience, not only on price.
Do I pay if the transaction fails?
No. The platform fee is included in the same atomic transaction as the mint, so a failure means nothing is charged beyond any Solana network fee already burned.
