Authorities
Revoke Solana token authority
Authorities control what can still change about a token. Revoking them is a common trust signal because it proves the creator can no longer mint more supply, freeze wallets or change metadata.
The three authorities
| Authority | What it allows | How to revoke | Fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mint | Create new supply | /revoke-mint or at creation | 0.08 SOL (included at creation) |
| Freeze | Freeze any holder's token account | /revoke-freeze or at creation | 0.08 SOL (included at creation) |
| Update | Change name, symbol, logo and URI | At creation in /create | Included |

Frequently asked questions
Can a revoked authority be restored?
No. Revoking sets the authority to none on-chain. It is permanent and cannot be undone by anyone.
How do I revoke update authority?
Toggle 'Revoke update' in /create when launching. This makes the Metaplex metadata immutable.
How can I confirm a revoke worked?
Paste the mint address into the SolanaForge token security check or view it on Solscan; revoked authorities show as none.
