Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about creating tokens on SolanaForge — fees, security, Phantom compatibility, and what we will and will never do with your wallet.
How does SolanaForge work?+
SolanaForge is a self-serve interface for creating SPL tokens on Solana mainnet. You fill out a form (name, ticker, supply, decimals, logo), we pin your metadata to IPFS, and then your Phantom wallet signs one transaction that mints the token, writes Metaplex metadata, and optionally revokes mint/freeze/update authorities — atomically.
Is SolanaForge custodial? Do you hold my funds?+
No. SolanaForge is 100% non-custodial. We never see your seed phrase, never hold your private keys, and cannot move funds out of your wallet. Every transaction is built in your browser and signed locally by Phantom. The only thing we receive is the flat platform fee (0.1 SOL) that's included as a transparent transfer instruction inside the same transaction you approve.
Will SolanaForge ever ask for my seed phrase or private key?+
Never. No legitimate Solana dApp will ever ask for your seed phrase or private key. If anything claiming to be SolanaForge asks for either, it is a phishing attempt — close the tab and report it to support@solanaforge.app.
How much does it cost to create a token?+
Approximately 0.105 SOL total: 0.1 SOL flat platform fee, ~0.002 SOL in Solana rent (mint account + metadata account + token account), and ~0.00001 SOL in base network fees. The cost simulator on /create shows the exact breakdown before you sign anything.
What wallets are supported?+
Phantom is the primary supported wallet (extension on desktop and the in-app browser on iOS/Android). The integration uses the official Phantom Browser SDK with injected-provider mode only — no embedded auth, no deeplink connect popups, no auto-connect.
Why do you recommend revoking mint and freeze authority?+
Revoking the mint authority makes total supply mathematically fixed forever (no one — including you — can mint more). Revoking the freeze authority means no wallet can be frozen. Both are the top trust signals scanners like RugCheck, Birdeye, and DEX aggregators check. For any publicly tradeable token we recommend revoking both.
What is the 'Simulate' button? Does it cost anything?+
Simulation runs your transaction against a Solana RPC simulator — nothing is broadcast to the network and no signature is requested from your wallet. It returns the exact compute units, rent, and fees so you can verify the breakdown before signing. It is free and never triggers Phantom.
Is SolanaForge compatible with Phantom mobile?+
Yes. Open https://solanaforge.app inside the Phantom mobile in-app browser (Browser tab → enter the URL) and the wallet connects natively. If you visit from Safari or Chrome on mobile, the Connect button opens Phantom via universal link.
Do you store any personal data?+
We do not collect names, emails, or KYC. The only data persisted is the public wallet address that signed a transaction and the public on-chain mint address — both of which are already public on the Solana blockchain and any block explorer. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.
Why does Phantom sometimes show a warning on new domains?+
Phantom uses Blowfish to scan dApps and flags any new domain until it builds a reputation score. The warning is a precaution, not a block — your transaction itself is the same one shown in this UI. Tap 'Proceed anyway' to continue. We are working with Blowfish to allowlist the domain.
What is the refund policy?+
The 0.1 SOL platform fee is atomic with the on-chain mint — if the transaction fails, the fee is never transferred (Solana refunds the entire transaction). If the transaction succeeds but you're unhappy, contact support@solanaforge.app within 7 days and we'll review case-by-case.
